NUEF upon inception, resumed operation for which awarding scholarships to deserving learners was the first project carried out in the first quarter of the year in 2018.
The NUEF Scholarship Selection Process (NSSP) was conducted in July 2017 which was the start of the 2017/2018 Academic session. We took off in Margaret Thelma International School and by January 2018 expanded to Government-owned schools with L.E.A Narai Primary school, Karu-Site Abuja and J.S.S Narai-Karu, Abuja producing the best performing learners.
After a series of rigorous testing and interviews, five learners from the above mentioned public schools were awarded either a Partial or Full Scholarship. The official transfer for the learners awarded the Full scholarship took place on the 23 January 2018 and they resumed on Monday 29 January 2018 in Margaret Thelma International School Karu Abuja. The Scholarship categories are:
Category A: Successful learners from the NSSP are given the option to be enrolled in one of our partner schools with all expenses fully paid for. Here, we presently have three learners in a private school – Margaret Thelma International School, Abuja, in full partnership with NUEF. One Lower Basic three Learner from L.E.A Narai-Karu, and two Upper Basic seven learners from J.S.S Narai-Karu.
Category B: Partial scholarship, where selected learners have Termly Fees, Uniforms, Sports Wear, Shoes, Stockings, Exercise, and Textbooks all provided for while they remain in their current school. In this category, we have two Lower Basic three learners from L.E.A Narai-Karu, Abuja.
We’ve had a successful 2017/2018 Academic Session and look forward to an awesome 2018/2019 session. All this wouldn’t have been possible without our partners. We are on the verge of partnering with promising individuals and organizations to make our vision achievable.
